This virus, however, could mutate so that it can infect the human species. It is when it becomes a serious public health problem.
The most harmful effect of swine influenza is associated with a severe inflammation of the lungs, leading to respiratory failure, and lesions in the muscles that can affect organs such as kidneys and heart. If the victim does not have the recommended treatment, the possibility of coming to death.
It is known that the influenza virus, including fever, undergoes constant change. This change ensures broad classes of viruses that hinder the prevention and treatment. The class that has affected humans is the H1N1 type A newer version.

It is important to stay alert to symptoms of swine flu, which are similar to the common flu and include:

• Diarrhea.
The prevention of swine influenza can be made with the observance of some care, as listed below:
• When coughing or sneezing, cover nose and mouth with a handkerchief, and disposal after use;
• Make hand hygiene in washing them with soap and water. If possible, also use alcohol-based products in cleaning up after coughing or sneezing;
• Do not keep the hands contact with eyes, nose or mouth, avoiding contamination by germs;
• If possible, do not keep close contact with sick people, which could be the flu;
• If you are ill, seek medical assistance and if there is no hospital stay at home, restricting contact with others.
Diagnosis of swine influenza is done by analysis of respiratory samples of patients, using laboratory tests.
Regarding the treatment of disease, drugs are used as Amantadine, which aims to block the entry of the virus in human cells, and Tamiflu, which seeks to prevent removal of a virus infection of the cell while avoiding others.
